Privacy

Short version. Silicosis Lawsuit is a static, independently run publication. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, shows no advertising, carries no affiliate links, has no accounts and no forms. The only personal data we handle is the email you choose to send us, plus the technical request data any website host receives in order to serve a page.

Who is responsible

This site is published by its editor, named on the About page. For anything to do with your data, write to info@silicosislawsuit.com.

What happens when you visit a page

The site is served by Cloudflare. To deliver a page, Cloudflare receives the technical data every web request carries: your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's identification string. Cloudflare processes this to serve and protect the site, under its own privacy policy. We do not view, store or analyse this traffic data ourselves.

Our responses also carry Cloudflare's network error logging headers, which let your browser report a failed connection to Cloudflare. This reporting does not set a cookie and does not identify you to us.

Fonts

Both fonts are served from this site. Pages load no third-party resources, so reading the site sends no request to any other company.

Cookies and tracking

The site sets no cookies and uses no local storage. There is no analytics or visitor-measurement service, no advertising, no social-media widgets, no embedded video and no affiliate tracking. Because nothing is set, there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Email

If you write to info@silicosislawsuit.com, your message, your address and any details you include are stored in our mailbox, which is hosted by Zoho Mail. The editor reads it, and it is used only to reply to you and to follow up on what you raised, such as a correction, a research query or a media request. We keep correspondence for as long as it is relevant to that purpose, and we do not add your address to any mailing list.

Emails we send

From time to time we contact journalists, researchers and organisations at their publicly listed professional addresses about our published work. Every such message is sent individually, identifies the sender and this site, and is not an automated campaign. If you receive one and do not want to hear from us again, reply saying so or write to info@silicosislawsuit.com; we keep a suppression list and will not contact you again.

Downloads and external links

Datasets under /data/ are static files served the same way as any page; downloading them is not tracked. Links to courts, agencies, journals and news publishers take you to sites we do not control, and their privacy practices apply once you are there.

Sharing and sale

We do not sell, rent or share personal data with anyone. The only parties that handle data on our behalf are the two service providers named above: Cloudflare, which hosts the site, and Zoho, which hosts the mailbox.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, ask us to stop contacting you, or object to how we use it. Send the request to info@silicosislawsuit.com. In practice the only data we are likely to hold is email correspondence, and we will delete it on request unless we are required to keep it. If you are in a jurisdiction with a data protection authority, you also have the right to complain to that authority.

Children

The site is written for adults and does not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If the way the site handles information changes, for example if a measurement tool is added, this page will be updated first and the date at the top changed.
