- More than 370 lawsuits had been filed by engineered-stone workers as of March 2026, according to plaintiff attorneys quoted by KFF Health News and CBS News; attorney Raphael Metzger alone reported about 200 cases plus a class action seeking medical monitoring. KFF Health NewsT2CBS NewsT2
- Coordination. The Daily Journal reported in 2025 that the presiding judge of the Los Angeles County Superior Court, Sergio C. Tapia II, petitioned to coordinate nearly 80 silicosis cases across Los Angeles, Orange and San Francisco counties, with at least a dozen judges staying their cases meanwhile. - No federal MDL. Cases are in state courts. An insurance-industry analysis found no federal multidistrict litigation as of July 2026, and this project has not identified one. Some legal-marketing sites assert otherwise without citation. Alan Gray LLCT3

- The federal bill. H.R. 5437 would bar these suits, including pending ones, if enacted. Its status is tracked in the regulation register.

First artificial-stone silicosis case filed in Colorado and third in the country to reach verdict. Jury findings: Cambria liable for misrepresentation (32% of fault), Hyundai L&C for negligence (3%), employer Jordan Marble and Granite 63%, plaintiff 2%; Caesarstone, DuPont and Makita found not responsible. Defense counsel's release title states the jury found Cambria not negligent and its products not defective; the misrepresentation finding stands alongside that.
